Genting’s Resorts World Sentosa casino to use cutting-edge Canon products for a world-class IR

The new technology allows state of the art experience-based entertainment and imagery

Genting Singapore Limited and Japanese giant Canon will collaborate on cutting-edge IR technologies for their Integrated Resort in Singapore. 

Genting says the agreement with the Japanese multinational corporation is about ‘cutting-edge technologies, products and solutions’ for a world-class IR and includes the implementation of Canon’s intelligent surveillance, security and video solutions, which, in addition to the gaming floor at its giant Resorts World Sentosa development in Singapore, will be utilised at other attractions as well. 

The new technology will also allow state of the art experience-based entertainment and imagery to be used on social media.

Canon Executive Officer and President of Canon Singapore Pte. Ltd, Noriko Gunji, added: “I’m very pleased that this collaboration with Genting can be extended to surveillance and security business with intelligent functions. Our state-of-the-art camera equipment and intelligent solutions are certified to comply with Singapore’s stringent regulatory requirements and are very appropriate for installation and use at RWS. 

And Gunji added: “The collaboration with Genting also includes the implementation of Canon’s video solution technology to RWS’ front line entertainment facilities. We are confident that Canon’s projection mapping and content solutions will provide a unique experience for guests throughout the entire resort.” 

Genting and Canon will introduce the new monitoring and security related solutions this year.
