Chad Brown Memorial Charity Tournament sponsored by PokerStars

The Amaya brand PokerStars will be holding their first live Festival in the garden state – New Jersey where the 3rd annual Chad Brown Memorial Charity Poker Tournament will be taking place. This PokerStars-sponsored event will be held on Thursday November 3rd, 2016 at the Resort Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.
The event will be hosted by team PokerStar’s pro, Daniel Negreanu and the tournament will be kicked off at 8pm with a pre-cocktail reception at 7pm. The proceeds from the tournament will benefit Cancer and AIDS Research, the T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukaemia and separate funding has been specially allocated for sarcoma cancer research.

The no-Limit Hold’em charity event has a buy-in of $200 and 50% of each buy-in will go directly to the foundation that was dear to Chad Brown whom he supported – T.J. Martell Foundation. The remaining 50% goes towards the prize pool. The first six levels will have a rebuy of $100 and half of this will also go to the charity.

The host, Resort Casino Hotel will also be supporting the event during the PokerStar’s debut Festival by donating $3,500 directly to TJ Martell foundation in Chad’s name.

Some of the awesome prizes up for grabs includes: a $5,000 PokerStars Championship Bahamas Main Event seat; a $3,200 Players Poker Championship (PPC) Aruba Main Event Package; a WPT500 entry to any 2017 WPT500 events; a $500 VIP WPT Experience (valid to any televised event for Season 15, includes a one night hotel stay, VIP access for the winner and a guest to the televised final table, guided tour of the WPT set, chance to meet the cast, premium seating with the Royal Flush girls and chance to be on TV); a one-year subscription worth $228 for LearnWPT.com; a World Series of Poker (WSOP) School of Poker training session worth up to $1,100; a $499 Poker Academy training course by Rep Porter and Rick Fuller (Inaugural Chad Brown Tournament Champion); a home poker table designed by Gorilla Gaming (valued at $925); Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) Qualifier package worth up to $380.

Chad Brown was a well-loved member of the poker community who achieved fame being a tv personality and top professional poker player. During his poker career, he earned more than $3.5 million. In July of 2014, at the age of 52  Chad passed away after suffering from a rare type of cancer known as liposarcoma.
