Under the terms of the standard licence application process by the DGE, GiG received what is called a transactional waiver.  This certifies that the GIG Core platform is compliant with the rules and regulations of the DGE.

Just last February, GiG had announced that it penned a partnership agreement with Hard Rock International. GiG will be supplying its extensive range of platform and front-end development services to Hard Rock’s first online casino. GiG’s first US customer, Hard Rock, will launch its online casino services later this month.

“We are delighted to now be going live with Hard Rock in New Jersey, a first step in our mutually ambitious plans to take market share in the regulated online gambling market in the US.”, said Robin Reed, CEO of Gaming Innovation Group Inc.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favour of New Jersey, in May, eliminated the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), the federal law that essentially limited sports betting to one state for the last 25 years. This allows an established setting for betting in the US, now leaving it up to the state to decide whether or not its residents are allowed to bet on sports.

This is a landmark move for GIG in its plans to enter the regulated US market. As soon as the obligatory and comprehensive process is completed, GiG will obtain its full Casino Service Industry Enterprise Licence (CSIE).
