Holland Casino in the Netherlands has reopened all 14 of its facilities after closures forced by the pandemic
The opening act was performed in the dome hall of Holland Casino Amsterdam Centre by singer Tino Martin and CEO Erwin van Lambaart. Slot arcades in the country are also permitted to open as of today. This has ended the almost four month closure.
Erwin van Lambaart, said: “We are very happy that we are open again and that we can fulfill our social task. As of today, our valued guests can safely and responsibly enjoy our hospitality and our exciting range of games during a pleasant afternoon or evening. We have fully furnished all branches in accordance with the 1.5 meter guidelines, while retaining the atmospheric ambience that the Netherlands is used to from us. Not only the latest slot machines, but also the familiar table games such as Black Jack and Roulette are available again today. Our restaurants and bars are also open. We do ask everyone to make a reservation and adhere to the known guidelines. Our 4,000 employees are ready for our guests with special instructions.”
The new sector protocol “Play with heart and mind. Keep your distance!” has been drawn up by Holland Casino and VAN Kansspel with advice from MKB-Nederland, VNO-NCW, ONL, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, the Ministry of Justice and Security, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Entrepreneurs Organization Cleaning and Business Services (OSB).
Mr. Van Lambaart added: “Of course we respect the 1.5 meter distance in all our locations. We do ask to make a reservation in advance and adhere to the so-called triage: the health check. We have worked hard to set up our casinos in accordance with the protocol and all guidelines of the RIVM, without sacrificing the atmosphere and our hospitality.”
The Dutch government was recently under fire for plans to keep all casinos closed.
