ICE A2O Seminar: Affiliate/Operator relationship – to regulate or not to regulate?

For the first time, ICE will offer a learning programme for affiliates. As iGaming affiliate businesses are growing and maturing, many have made the leap to iGaming by becoming operators, many others are considering that move.

The seminar at ICE will focus on affiliates’ aspirations to make that transition: what is the rationale to do that, how different the two business models are and what are the best ways to evolve, with case studies, presentations and discussions led by those who have gone, or are going, through that process.

Affiliate/Operator relationship: to regulate or not to regulate?

The number of affiliates arguing that their revenue streams in terms of CPAs and revenue share deals are being shaved off is constantly on the increase. Whether real or perceived, there seems to be little or nothing to guarantee that affiliates pocket all their earned incomes from each operators – with most affiliates relying on operator reputation and reputable portals such as GPWA. Is there an opportunity for regulating this market? Should regulatory bodies consider a level of certification to protect both operator and affiliate?

Moderator: Mr. Eman Pulis
