Hello Arnaud, hope you are well in this festive season.
I’m very well indeed – thanks for asking! I’ve just got back from a great vacation where I took the opportunity to recharge my batteries with some serious solar energy after a super-busy period at work.
How did you come to enter the online gaming space?
My iGaming career began 11 years ago, at Europa & Titan Casino, where I started out on the customer service side, advancing from Support Agent to Division Manager. I’ve always had a real passion for delivering customer satisfaction and I think that’s what enabled me to rise through the ranks. Then 4 years ago, I became part of the Karamba success story.
Can you tell us a little about how your company business is structured?
At Karamba, our company structure is a little bit different from other operators. For example, I manage both Affiliation and the Customer Center, which is highly beneficial for affiliates because the same person who signs the affiliate deal has all the operational resources at their disposal to ensure the highest possible conversion rates and affiliate revenues.
Which markets do you focus on and do you see any potential in the emerging markets?
We operate mainly in the European and Nordic markets with a strong focus on Denmark, but all emerging and newly regulated markets offer huge potential for ambitious operators who can act fast to adapt their strategies.
How do you find UK market and competition?
The UK is a huge market, with a lot of competition, but we’ve certainly managed to find enough room to continue growing. I think the key to staying ahead of the competition is to demonstrate at all times how passionate you are about creating better player experiences.
Are there any exciting plans in the works that you can tell us about?
We’re very excited about our soon-to-be launched sports betting service, Karamba Sport. The next few months are going to be all-action both for us and our growing family of affiliates. And of course, we’ve also recently launched our very own jackpot game “Redeem The Dream” – I’m sure that a few more millionaires will be made in the very near future!
What is the main thing that you’d like SiGMA readers to know about your brand?
I’m confident that most of our affiliates will vouch for the fact that our Affiliate Team is always available for them, at any time of day or night. The only person who isn’t happy about that is my wife! One of the other things we’re most proud of is the sheer creativity behind all our marketing materials. We put a lot of effort into ensuring that they communicate our core brand value – providing our players with maximum fun every day and in every way.
What do you see as the biggest challenges ahead for Karamba?
Our upcoming sports betting launch is definitely one of the biggest challenge ahead. For example, we need to make sure that all our casino players are aware of the opportunities for fast results and payouts offered by live sports betting.
Do you play slots and what would you do with 1 million euro from jackpot winnings?
I play all kind of casino games – online and offline. I strongly believe that this is a must if you want to stay attuned to the industry and perform better in your role. As you know, Marius, you should never trust a skinny chef!
