A lucky Kentucky man has decided to retire after winning a $2M Powerball prize using numbers based off movie
The anonymous player from Caldwell County, Kentucky won big on December 26 2020 after matching numbers based off a movie; winning the Powerball's second prize of $2 million. Along with Mega Millions, Powerball is one of the national multi-state lottery games.
Originally the lucky winner matched 5 numbers, reportedly 10-24-27-35-53, winning $1 million, yet also opted for the Power Play for an extra dollar which increased his reward to $2 million!
Nonetheless, Gambling News report that " If he had matched the Powerball number 18, the man would have won the staggering $341 million Powerball jackpot".
While the player doesn't recall the name of the movie in question, the character plays the lucky numbers and wins the jackpot.
In shock, the player shared to Lottery representatives:
I thought I was having a heart attack
Considering the Powerball prize, the anonymous winner has decided to permanently retire and will spend more time with his family.
In addition, Max Fuel Xpress, the convenience store that issued the winning ticket, is set to recieved a $20,000 bonus.
