How did you come to enter the online gaming space and set up your company?
Can you tell us a little about how your company business is structured?
Can say that we target 2 different streams; one is the online gambling design and development which includes also the affiliate websites and the mobile apps, and on the second stream we target the consulting for startups.
With the recent wave of consolidation, mergers and acquisitions of affiliate sites, are you surprised at all of the changes happening in the industry?
Can’t say that it’s a big surprise. Lots of companies went down, some went up, and new players show up on the market. Important is that big players are steady and new ones enter the market with very attractive offers.
A number of your competitors have gone down the real money operator route, and tried their hand at white labels. Have you also done this?
I have never been interested in operating an online gambling business. More interested in design and developing the systems.
Developing unique content is a key pillar of your strategy. What will be your primary focus on this front over the next 6 months?
Currently I am working on developing an online slots machine game for mobile which is set to go live by the end of this year. You might ask what a new slots machine game can bring? Lots of things. Only thing you can do is to wait for the release of the game and play it.
Which markets do you focus on and do you see any potential in the emerging markets?
My focus was on the North American market, but I started to be interested in the European and Asian market. Especially China has huge potential for online gambling.
How do you find UK markets and competition?
UK market is very strong and competitive.
How have Google’s algorithm updates affected the way you go about traffic generation, SEO and content at your company?
Properly done SEO (the old school way) plus some updates will always keep you on top. Yes, Google is changing the algorithm from time to time, but let’s not forget one thing – they will not create a completely new one. Will always use what they already have and update it with new functions.
Are there any exciting plans in the works that you can tell us about?
Yes. Currently I am working on developing an online slots machine game for mobile which is set to go live by the end of this year. At the request of the lawyers I am working on developing an application to manage cases, clients, and invoicing.
What is the main thing that you’d like SiGMA readers to know about your sites?
That our sites try to offer fresh and pertinent data for gamblers, especially online sports bettors.
What challenges and opportunities has the move to mobile presented you with?
Started design and develop for mobile 5-6 years ago. The switch of the traffic from PC to mobile devices did not catch me unprepared and can see that on the traffic. Over 85% of the traffic on the sites we own is from mobile devices. I find the mobile to be fast paced as the content has to be trimmed for fast loading, the ads need to display fast as well.
What do you see as the biggest challenges ahead for your business and the wider affiliate sector in 2017?
Getting clients is the biggest challenge. They got to be educated and the sites and applications need to be better, to have good content and up to date info. Without all these no site will survive the competition.
What two pieces of advice would you give to any new affiliate starting today?
Be 100% sure which countries you target, prepare for mobile and new technologies and select carefully the brands you want to promote. And for sure they need to attend all the affiliate conventions out there.
Do you play slots and what would you do with 1 million Euro from jackpot winnings?
I am working in the online gambling industry, but I do not gamble myself. With a big win I would invest the money in the business.
