Playtech, gambling software development company, has confirmed Claire Milne as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect, further strengthening their board.
As an in-house and private practice lawyer, Milne has 20 years of experience advising gaming and financial services clients, and is described as a recognised industry expert in iGaming and technology law and regulation.
Upon taking her new role at Playtech, Milne will be joining the company’s Remuneration Committee, Risk and Compliance Committee, Audit Committee, as well as Nominations Committee.
Milne is currently a partner and team leader of the intellectual property and science technology teams for the offshore Isle of Man-based law firm Appleby, where she has spent the past decade, as well as holding the position of Chair of the Isle of Man Gambling Commission for five years, between 2007 and 2012. She also previously served as a partner of Scottish law firm Thorntons for seven years.
She will be joining Playtech’s board including chairman Alan Jackson, chief financial officer Ron Hoffman, and chief executive Mor Weizer, alongside senior non-executive director Andrew Thomas, and non-executive directors Paul Hewitt and John Jackson.
