PokerStars Plans to Explore Artificial Intelligence with New Hires

PokerStars has created new roles to develop programs using artificial intelligence

PokerStars is going to hire a number of stuff members to «help create a fully-flexible AI agent». The company plans to develop programs using artificial intelligence “which will learn how to play” poker and potentially other games.

The new roles include «Poker AI Research Engineer» and «Graduate Poker AI Research Engineer», and are available in London, England, and Dublin, Ireland. According to PokerStars, the new positions offer a “challenge of researching the application of AI in one of the largest gaming communities in the world”.

The successful candidates will “be working on a number of high end products PokerStars wishes to bring to market, and how AI interacts with this to help PokerStars learn from and analyse strategies developed through self-play”.
