Sisal has partnered with children's charity Barnardo's for the race to obtain the fourth UK national Lottery licence
Italian lottery operator Sisal becomes the latest operator to join the race to obtain the fourth National Lottery licence in the UK, with offer.
In recent news, the Italian operator has seen exponential growth even outside the country, and have said that breaking into the UK is a major goal. Sisal also contends that they have a "perfect record" in reference to lottery tenders, having won all applications in their home country, Turkey and Morocco.
In bid to strengthen their offering, Sisal has teamed up with children’s and young people’s charity, Barnardo’s. Sisal hope the partnership will help furnish them on the UK's charitable landscape.
Sisal chief executive, Francesco Durante explained in a statement:
We believe lottery operators have the duty to generate resources in a responsible way and should lead the industry in raising the bar for player protection,
That’s why many years ago we voluntarily developed an approach to player protection far beyond what was required by regulation. Our focus is to make the lottery safer and an even better source of funds for good causes.
Javed Khan, chief executive of Barnardo’s, shared:
We are pleased to be working with Sisal in bidding to revitalise the UK National Lottery, which generates substantial funds for worthy causes across the UK.
Our involvement will strengthen the partnership’s focus on player protection and responsible play, whilst deepening understanding of the UK charity sector and how it works to make a difference in the heart of local communities.
The British Gambling Commission first announced the licence was up for grabs in August 2020, with the chosen applicant will be announced in September 2021.
