Emerald Resort and Casino is one of the first casinos to reopen for the industry giant Caesar Entertainment
In an announcement on its official website, Caesar Entertainment’s Emerald Resort and Casino located in South Africa has resumed its operations following suspension of operations in 26 March.
This after the government had lifted the Level 3 Covid-19 restrictions in the country.
The casino is open from 10 am to 4 am daily, while the hotel may only accommodate business travelers at the moment. The rest of the resort remains closed waiting for a pending update from the government regarding other leisure activities.
With the reopening of its casino doors, safety protocols were set in place for the well being of the customers and team members. According to the website, the property is regularly sanitized, with hand sanitizing stations available in transaction points. Wearing of masks is mandatory for both customers and employees and temperature checking upon entrance will be implemented. Employees will also undergo regular temperature checks and screeninsg prior to their shifts.
The casino will operate on a 50 percent capacity, allowing only rewards members to play electronic gaming machines and table games. To ensure social distancing, every second slot machine is turned off and table games are limited to only 2-3 players at a time.
For the dining area, tables are arranged following the social distancing protocol, menus will and condiments will all be for single use. Party sizes are also limited to the allowable number by the Government or Public Health Authorities.
