Tel Aviv to Malta – direct flights to meet increasing demand from igaming

The end of April sees the national Maltese airline Air Malta launch its new schedule of direct flights from Malta to Tel Aviv. Starting on the 21st of April, this connection will operate three times a week over summer 2017, opening up the Mediterranean igaming hub of Malta for Israel. With so many Israeli affiliates and c-level executives commuting between Tel Aviv and Malta on a regular basis, the demand for direct routes is clear for all and welcome news to the I-gaming sector.

Air Malta’s Chief Commercial Officer Paul Sies released the following press statement

We are thrilled that we can announce Tel Aviv as our new destination for this season. We have been operating regularly on this route offering Malta as a charter destination in Israel for years, working closely with leading Israeli tour operators. Now the market has matured enough that we can start offering this destination as a scheduled service, providing opportunities to visit the rest of Israel including Jerusalem and the Holy Land.

With regards to the world of I gaming, Israel has faced some tough challenges, with the banning of Binary options. As the State Bank of Israel is heavily regulating the local non-bank electronic trading market, it is also applying reforms that ensure that companies that function within the boundaries of Israel obtain business from its inhabitants solely. This will put those companies at risk that do not market their services directly to the domestic market but do so on a global or regional level as Israeli citizens are prohibited from indulging in any gambling activities. In addition, there is a law that is in the process of being revised to forbid the marketing of binary options from the Israeli region to the international market. With strong enforcement in place, Malta lends itself as an excellent relocation destination.

The flight schedule will operate as follows on alternating weeks:

Tuesday dep Malta 0155hrs arriving Tel Aviv 0540hrs dep Tel Aviv 0710hrs arr Malta 0915hrs

Friday dep Malta 0045hrs arriving Tel Aviv 0430hrs dep Tel Aviv 0600hrs arr Malta 0805hrs

Sunday dep Malta 0050hrs arriving Tel Aviv 0430hrs dep Tel Aviv 0530hrs arr Malta 0740hrs

As the second biggest city in Israel, Tel Aviv offers itself as glamorous cosmopolitan coastal city. Steeped in history and a gastronomical haven. In a sharp contrast to bustling city life, Tel Aviv has tranquil endless white sandy beaches bordering the city edge.

For thousands of years Jaffa has been a busy entry port from the Romans, Ottomans to Napoleon, around the port is the historic heritage zone where one can find archaeological remains to bespoke art galleries. A labyrinth of cobbled streets makes an afternoon well spent wandering. By night head to the vicinity of Rothschild Boulevard, where one can find copious contrasting lively bars.
